Two Mower County residents were among 300 young producers from across the country participating in an agricultural forum in Minneapolis last month.
Andrew Hamilton, of Grand Meadow, and David Tangren, of Dexter, learned about the opportunities and challenges facing cooperatives, agriculture and rural America as a participant in the CHS New Leaders Forum.
Hamilton represented CHS Grand Meadow, and Tangren represented CHS Dexter at the forum held in conjunction with the CHS annual meeting. All participants were nominated by their local cooperative or a producer organization.
CHS is the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company.
